Threats to Bristol Bay persist, and so must we.

Hi Daniel,   The company behind Pebble Mine won’t quit, so neither can we.   Canadian-based Northern Dynasty Minerals filed two new lawsuits against EPA and the federal government last week in a last-ditch effort to advance their destructive mega-mine. It’s easy to see through these lawsuits: Not only are they trying to overturn EPA's protections, one of their filings seeks a ridiculous payment of $700 billion from American taxpayers. Their actions demonstrate nothing but greed.   Despite science clearly proving the harmfulness of their plan, and the people of Bristol Bay and the nation clearly saying it is unwanted, lawsuits seek to undo EPA’s veto and profit off “damages” the company says it’s owed as a result. This is where you come in:   Our work to secure protections for the entire Bristol Bay region through Congress remains critical to ensuring this culturally important and immensely productive region may remain for future generations.   This will require continued engagement across the country — contacting decision-makers, sharing with friends, and staying informed. We will tell you when it’s time to take action on any future legislation.   The best way to help until then?    Tell your friends the fight to protect Bristol Bay isn’t over.
