I've got some high school kids looking for service hours.  These have been great in the past (and around this time of year), but I haven't heard of any this year.  Anyone?

Yes Lane.  Actually there will be two!  We will again be holding a marathon BEER TIE style at Whitlow's on Saturday, March 21 from 10AM - 4PM.  This year is the first year PHW is trying to coordinate a "National Tying Day" with multiple marathons simultaneously occurring at multiple venues all on the same day.  So, to this end our area will be leading the way by holding the marathon at the Marine Corps Museum at Quantico at the very same time.  All anyone has to do is pick which one to go to and tie away!  It's all going to the same great cause and the same great people.  The overall goal and vision is to eventually have marathons happening all across the country on one day each year.  All of us here in the DC area are committed to doing our part for sure.

Look for more information soon on subsequent posts, I'm working out some friggin' awesome raffle prizes for the Whitlow's marathon at the moment.  Looking forward to seeing a ton of you there!

Actually there are THREE!  We're also doing an event at Urban Angler. I'm still working out details if it'll be in the shop or at a local establishment.

An email blast will go out for sure

Way too many choices. It's like trying to pick a movie on Netflix. But I'm thinking maybe Quantico, just to see the USMC museum.

I did Quantico last year..  it was great, although I had a few jarheads to hang out with and show me around.  I wanted to spend a little more time there.
