TPFR is checking out a new spot. Join us Monday, January 12, 2026, at The Board Room Game Bar and Brewery for our next Beer Tie. The address is 925 N Garfield St, Arlington, VA 22201, which is just a few blocks south of the Colony Grill. It's a five-minute walk from the Clarendon Metro Station and a parking garage is available. https://www.theboardroomva.com/
Miles Townes (TPFR Art Director) has designated the tying theme of the January Beer Tie as "Streamer Eyes" so start eyeing a pattern to tie, then let TPFR President Misha Gill know if you want a "Demonstration Tyer" placard for your station.
Going forward, Beer Ties will ALWAYS be on the second Monday of the month, regardless of whether that follows the Casting Church scheduled for the second Sunday. It doesn't happen often, but in June 2026, for example, Beer Tie will be held on Monday, June 8, and Casting Church will be on Sunday, June 14.
