Beer Tie is coming up this Monday, June 13 at Whitlows on Wilson from 7-9PM, with our Sandbar opening at 6PM. 

As always, Rob Snowhite will be teaching at the beginners table. The pattern for this month is the foam mulberry fly, so come out to learn how to get on those monster canal carp! 

Look forward to seeing everyone out Monday!

Was planning on hitting the Canal tomorrow morning for carp anywhere from Fletchers down. Stopped by there this morning and found out the canal has been drained again so a contractor can set up scaffolding partly in the canal.

Can't fish above Lock 5 because I'm stuck driving my work van this weekend. If I park at any of the Locks I will come back to find my van empty of tools ( happened once in the late 90's).

This sucks.

Oh that stinks, but thanks for sharing the pics, Scott.

But last minute reminder, the Sandbar will open at Whitlows at 6PM tonight, come by for camaraderie, fly tying, beer specials, and half priced burgers. And even if your favorite carp hole is drained, you can dial in the mulberry pattern for next year if you stop by the beginner's table.

Canal in Georgetown is a sad sight, and smell terrible. There is scaffolding on the building west of Patagonia so this appears to be different than the rebuilding of the locks...
