VA Trout Stocking

Does anyone know about when VA starts stocking? I would think they would have started but there hasn't been any updates on their web site in forever.

Usually it's mid October if you're talking about the urban streams. Check DGIF, which will often only post Holmes Run when both Homes and Accotink have been stocked (don't know why). Of course, they've been known to post Accotink as having been stocked when it actually hasn't, which I confirmed through some correspondence with them a year ago.

October 1/Thursday. The might event stock a few on 9/30.

Driving back from Shenandoah yesterday I saw 2 big rigs on 66 going east with live fish marked on the containers. I don't know if that means anything to you but to me it's seems like they are stocking now.

Thanks for the info guys. Ya I'm mostly wondering about Holmes and Accotink. I'm getting antsy to do some after work fishing. I've been checking the stocking page for updates everyday.

I've actually never fished Accotink for trout. Only Bass up in the lake. I thought I'd try the stretch at Wakefield Park once it gets stocked.
