2014 Shad Run

 I hit the river with John Nguyen on Tuesday morning.

As soon as the line went into the water, a shad reacted to our offerings and then everything shut down at 10:00 AM.

Mike,

I don't see smelt on the list of fish in the Potomac river.

Maybe Gene can chime in?

There aren't any smelt in the Potomac River, the fish that everybody calls smelt are spottail shiners and eastern silvery minnows.
