Park streams

Hi all, my son Colin in in town for a few days. He’s wanting to do some Brookie fishing.  His plan was to head down to the North River.  I can’t go , also think he is driving past a ton of good fishing.  Anyone been in the park lately and have any suggestions for him.  I don’t do much fishing in the park anymore, the knees are going.

I fished there on Thursday.  Fishing was decent but not many bugs.  Fish seemed a bit sluggish but I still caught plenty  on dries.

I've only fished the north river once and didn't find it to be anything worth a special drive.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any local company repairing small engines.

I have a motorized kayak with a small Honda motor that is in need of repair. It is coupled to a turbine resulting a small jet engine like a jet ski boat.

Appreciate any recommendations.

I’ve used Affordable Outdoors down near Stafford (call and make sure they work on outboards that small.)

I just saw this. For future reference: the obvious picks are the Rapidan and Rose and Whiteoak close to town. If he's going all the damn way down to the North River (the GWNF one I assume) I would check out the Moormans and Tye near Charlottesville and Lovingston. Jeremy's Run is also a good stream supposedly although I have never fished it
