Hi TPFR,

I'll be in town this Saturday and want to get out to Fletchers to catch some Shad on the fly.  Are they still biting?

Hey Brian,

They most definitely are. I caught hickories from shore both Tuesday and Wednesday night. I caught them on pink, chartreuse, white and orange, so it seems they are biting any color. Good luck!

I was on a boat all day yesterday in Fletchers. The shad are definitely still biting, but yesterday was not nearly as good as pre rainstorm (for me at least). People were catching shad but not at any incredible rate. I caught a handful of shad and about 30 perch. The chartreuse dart with red head did the most damage for me. A few went for the clouser.

Also got nice and sunburned..

I expect the fishing will only be better over the next couple of days.

John Bilotta and I nailed a bunch from shore with our two-handed rods yesterday morning.  Fish were super deep though, and I had to link two fast sinking tips together (22' total) to get to them consistently.
