Thursday the Potomac looked like a brown mess at Key Bridge. Wondering if it's still that way and If there is any point hitting Chain Bridge or Gravelly point Saturday morning? Had good shad luck last weekend and would like to try again, but if it's a waste of time will head west, or Burke lake, or open to suggestions. Any help or advice much appreciated. Thanks all.

Not sure what the clarity is like, but chain bridge area should be fishable. Fletcher's won't be renting boats until the gauge drops below 5, but that doesn't mean the shad won't be there. If I recall I had a good day last year when the water was still too high to rent boats.

Thank you, will head plan for the potomac bank in the morning. I'm tempted by stripers, but that shad fishing is just plain fun....
