That's interesting.  Were any of them repeaters from the second Monday of the month?

Used to be the second Monday of the month, but people got confused because some second Mondays came BEFORE the casting church so an executive decision was made.

 

Website has been updated to reflect the correct event with links.

To be specific - the website now states the Beer Tie is held on the Monday immediately following Casting Church, each month.

The Casting Church is scheduled for the second Sunday of each month.

Of course, there may be occasional exceptions.  In those instances information will posted on this forum….

A problem with setting the Beer Tie the Monday after Casting Church is that it is difficult to automate putting it on a digital calendar.  I can easily schedule the 2nd Monday of the month, but scheduling for the Monday after the 2nd Sunday of the month is harder to automatically schedule.

Hmmm … interesting ….      in 2022 only 1 month (August) has Sundays and Mondays out of sync such that scheduling the Beer Tie for the 2nd Monday would not be following the second Sunday.   And the same is true for 2023 (except the odd month will be May).  

But in 2024, the out of sync months triple to 3,     but shouldn’t matter because by then global warming will have dried up the rivers and killed all the fish so we won’t need to tie flies.
