Advice on Streams in DC Area

I am heading to Arlington to visit my in-laws for the holiday. I have a light fly rod and am looking for streams in the Arlington, NVa area that are worth hitting. I have a Va license but don't want to have to get a DC license so the Potomac is out. Any suggestions? Is Accotink Creek worth fishing this time of year? Holmes Run? Also, any fly suggestions would be appreciated.
