This is an interesting read focusing on the feeder streams to Rock Creek. I always love learning new things about this stream—throughout my time in DC, it’s always basically been in my backyard. I’ve spent a lot of time there and have caught sunfish, bass and perch. I’ve seen river herring, carp, catfish and snakehead up as far as Cleveland Park. It’s unfortunate how dirty it is, and I always grimace when I see people dip their feet or let their dogs jump around in there. I wouldn’t want my dog jumping around on furniture after that!

I would love to see cities invest in cleaning up streams like this.
