Headed to Florida next week. My mom lives on the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes.
It is my understanding these lakes are super weedy.
Looking for weedless fly suggestions that I can throw on an 8wt.

I was just down in Palm Beach County for Spring Training, hit up some urban canals/ponds one of the days.  Big Deerhair poppers, and big half & half deceivers in olive/white - even though the streamer isn't weedless, still worth throwing. Only caught a couple over 3-4 hours on the water, but they were nice fish. LMBs were active on top until about 10:30am, then things slowed substantially.  Was more interested in peacocks, but only spotted 1 pair while I was out - should have gone farther south in PB or into Miami for those.

@rob-

great looking fly, does it land hook side up?  I have a spot where I want to throw this across lillypads.  just tying to figure out how make sure the hook does not snag every time.

9/10 times it will land hook up. It should rotate around on the first strip.
