Beer Tie is coming up next Monday, February 8 at Whitlow's on Wilson. Bar opens at 6PM and they send us to the front bar at 10PM. As I mentioned before, we'll be hosting Friends of Fletcher's Cove for a brief Q&A about their efforts to restore the cove. Please check the slideshow on their website for an update here: http://friendsoffletcherscove.org They will also be offering some of Alex Binsted's famous shad flies in return for donations to the cause. I am also going to ask our members to put donate some shad flies to the cause as well, so please consider tying shad flies for a cause that can make a real difference to our fishing and access.

In addition to Friends of Fletcher's Cove, we will also be hosting Misty Dilon, the outfitter from India that will share awesome pictures and stores of Golden Mahseer.

If we have any luck, we'll also be debuting TPFR shirts for sale, but as of now it appears our vendor is running behind.

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

We'll start tying (pats rubber legs) around 7.

As Rob said, the event officially kicks off at 7, but it's also very informal and there's no harm in showing up early or late. We'll give the mic to Mike Bailey (aka The Animal) at around 8PM to give us a brief update and hold a Q&A.

Another reminder, Beer Tie is coming up tomorrow night. Try not to celebrate the Panther's victory tonight too hard and leave some room for burgers and beers tomorrow!

Are the "Panthers" an NFL team?  Is that a Canadian thing?

Hi everyone,
Anyone willing to lend a vise and kit tonight? Just as I got my tying gear together, I've managed to leave it all I storage in St. Michaels.
The good news: The reason I left my gear is that wife Jade and I have bought a house on Tilghman Island. We intend to lash the Chesapeake, Choptank and Miles rivers to a creamy foam chasing rock, perch and blues, throwing everything from Mickey Finns to Rainbow Clousers...
Bad news: We will probably rent out our Skyline condo, so the Potomac will get way less attention (just when I learned what walleye like).
Will host bay flyfishing trips in exchange for kindness and mountain stream reciprocity!

Birdman,

Congrats on the new place. You don't need a tying kit to show up, you'll fit right in with a burger and beer.

Thanks, DT...
Anyone crazy for white perch, rock or wood boat building and sailing say hi. I'm hard to miss: 6'5", skinny, beard. And, I smile (because I fish...) a lot...
Kind of a grinning, fishing idiot, really.
(Yup, I'll fit right in!)
