Anyone interested in doing some local fishing this afternoon. I'm thinking about getting out for a couple hours. Any one have any luck recently at either location?

Did you end up going, Aaron?  If so, how was it?  Trying to work up the gumption for an early morning run myself.

So I decided to go to turkey run instead of gravelly point due to the fact that the the timeline I was able to fish would have been low tide to an incoming tide, which generally is not the best time to fish there. Turkey run is non tidal.

The short answer is that I had no luck at all. The water was high, fast and muddy. With that much water I wonder if I should have picked gravelly point. There would have been a good amount of water still going through there.

My main problem is that I just don't know how to fish in that type of water. I need to research where the fish tend to stay to get out of the current, what flies are better for that situation and is it generally ever worth it to fish in that situation? If anyone has any thoughts, let me know.
