Shad and cold snap

Fairly new to fishing the shad run. How would a cold snap like the next couple of days affect the bite? Would it kill it off or would it not affect it?

One of my best days every shad fishing was as the water temp plummeted. Since the fish are already there they should, so they should still bite.
