I was asked to find a location with the following criteria. I'm posting here to see if anyone knows of such a place. Not sure if they also want to fish.  

Does anyone know of an AirBnB or cabin anywhere within a 3-hour drive of DC where a family of beginners could do horseback riding on a weekend? Please respond directly to janewi...@gmail.com

If they're simply looking for horseback riding and nice scenery, Rose River Farm is in a beautiful area and easily within 3 hours of DC. They have cabins, use a local horseback outfitter, and they have a mile of Rose River if anyone wants to wet a line. Douglas Dear is a good guy. Here's the information:

I've fished there a few times, and it's a great property.
