fishing with kids this weekend

Taking kids fishing with a spin rod this weekend.  First time taking them fishing and I really don't know what the heck i'm doing.  Worm and bobber, I guess?

Where can I go where they will DEFINITELY CATCH A FISH.

Hey Phoenix,

                        Worm and bobber

is just the right ticket. On the Maryland side Lake Artemesia in College Park, Maryland  or just down the road Greenbelt Lake in Greenbelt.  There are Bluegills and Bass in both lakes  ( what you're actually just large ponds ) also both lake are usually stocked with trout in the spring and you're still should be some in both of the lakes. There lots of easy Shoreline access on both lakes as well. No matter where you wind up going make sure thoroughly check your kids for ticks afterwards.

I learned how to fish on the C&O Canal with worms. Go to Great Falls MD side and hike down. Sunnies, rock bass, largemouth, etc.
