Hello,
For the first time since 2000, NOAA has announced its intent to designate new sanctuaries under the National Marine Sanctuaries Act. NOAA is asking for the public's input on protecting Mallows Bay-Potomac River, a maritime heritage resource area in Maryland.

Members of the public, non-profit organizations, schools, small businesses, and others are encouraged to participate in these public meetings to help shape the future of Mallows Bay. The two meeting dates and details are:

Wednesday, November 4, 2015
Charles County Government Building
200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

Annapolis Maritime Museum
723 2nd St., Annapolis, Maryland

Both sessions will begin with an open house from 6:30 to 7:00 pm, followed by an official program and public comments from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

The public is also encouraged to submit comments online via the Federal eRulemaking PortalClick the "Comment Now!" icon, complete the required fields, and enter or attach your comments.
