Ponds at Grosvenor Metro

Does anyone know if A) it's legal to fish the ponds across the street from the Grosvenor and B) is there any fish in them?

They are located right across from an apartment complex, so I don't know if the area is private property or not. I've never fished there but I've seen some small sunfish dart around. There are also huge turtles in there.

I tried Rock Creek along Beach between CT Ave and Cedar Lane. There are deep holes and bends that looked like they would hold fish. After trying spring summer fall and winter and shut out, I concluded that there was nothing more than minnows in there. Would love to hear someone with success as this is right across from my house.

Thanks for the report. I'm not far from where it crosses Veirs Mill, and all I've ever seen have be minnows. I suspect there might be some fugitive bluegills farther up due to the outfalls from Lake Frank and Lake Needwood, but I haven't seen any.

Upstream of Lake Needwood in some of the feeder streams I've caught 5" largemouth as well as various Dace and Minnows.

idk it's legal or not but i've seen some people fishing there when i was running. they've caught some decent size bass there.
