Ok this sounds a bit strange, but I am looking at fishing some of the
grassy areas and lily pads along the Potomac where snakeheads are known
to congregate.  If I land one of these beasts, what do I need special to
actually handle them?
For bass, shad, panfish, etc, you just grab them by the lower jaw, but
this does not seem real intelligent for the snakeheads.  (I may not be
real smart, but I am not stupid.)  How do most people kill them if you
are going to keep them?

Thanks
Kevin

I carry pliers, “boga grips”, and several trash bags. A net helps.

You can hit them ten times with an aluminum bat to the skull and it won’t kill them. You can smash their heads with rocks and then stab their skull several times and it won’t kill them.

Suffocating them in a bag works. Several trash bags will keep the slime contained and prevent their teeth from puncturing a single bag and getting out.
