Tidal Basin this Morning 5:30-7:45am

Hit the tidal basin this morning. Lots of fish taking just underneath the surface to the east of the Jefferson Memorial along that side up to the bridge. Caught a 2lb large mouth.

Worked back towards the west side by the gates. Very active feeding near the bridge. Caught a schoolie striper probably 2lbs as well.

Clouser Minnow fly pattern used?

My fishing buddy was using that pattern and didn't even have a strike.

Hugh, what were you using? Hit it this AM with limited success on deceiver and clousers. Very high turbidity on inflow from Potomac.
