The event seems to already be sold out.  Advance registration is required and the website states registration is now closed.

Registration may be closed but DC DOEE is seeking volunteers to help out. Email teresa.r...@dc.gov if you are interested.

loaner fishing gear, in an urban setting, in the dark?  sounds like they'll need the volunteers to untangle lines line all night...not sure this is the type of event that people who actually fish would want to get a line wet at.  great idea for spreading the sport and creating awareness of the fishery around the city though.

I would never have the balls to fish down here in the dark byself,   could be a cool thing for a group of TPFRs to try some time on their own.

I would certainly show up to that if I were in town.

Well I emailed teresa rodriquez on Wednesday and phoned on Friday.  No response.  I suppose they are not that desperate for volunteers?
