Best spot for smallies right now?

New to this board. Have some free time the next couple of weeks. wanted to know the best bet for l smallies at this time of year with the temps cooling off? Thanks

Upper Potomac seems to be fishing better than the Shenandoah system right now.  That's both from personal experience and the consensus I've been getting from the Potomac River Smallmouth Club meetings.  Can't speak to the Susquehana, Monocacy, Rappahannock or upper Patuxent.  If you're able to be in Vienna, VA on Wednesday, PRSC has a meeting at the firehouse in the evening.
