The affect of barometric pressure on smallies

Anyone have any thoughts on this? 

I have always heard dropping pressure is good for rockfish. Does the same go for smallies?

Dropping pressure with approaching lightning always seems to be good.  The farther away from the car you are, the better it seems to be.

In general, dropping pressure is well known to make fish active.  From personal experience, it works for bluegill, bass, northern, and probably a lot of others.
