Has anyone fished for small mouth down near Cherokee, NC lately?

Looking at spending some time over the 4th on the Tuckasegee and the Little TN.

Thanks,

Not recently and maybe too late, but I have fished the Little T south of the lake. Caught the usual green bream and a couple decent smallies.

I'd recommend checking in at the Tuck fly shop in Bryson City to ask for latest intel and pointers.

Thanks Ben.

Trip is past. Tuck by the shop upstream of Bryson was a hell of a row. We flipped in a rapid and didn't fish much. Landed one 15" smallie on a tiny stone fly with 7x. That was intertaining on a 4wt. More worried about not flipping again. It was pretty aggressive. And the Little T blew out that night. So we just enjoyed the views from our camp. Cant complain when you camp at 5300ft on the east coast. Enjoy the pics.

Hope you didn't lose any gear in the flip. The Tuck has some pretty challenging water. Nice view from your campsite.

Sorry for the delay Ben. Only gear lost was my dry fly flotant. Ironc, right? Haha. I always anchor my rods in any boat when the water looks rough. My body on the other hand got beat up. More or less got thrown from the boat/sort of jumped out to keep it as upright as possible. I would definitely caution anyone of that section. Spent most of the trip trying not to flip again instead of fishing.
