And a "perry poke" is just a means of walking/hopping the anchor closer to where you want to cast from right? To load the rod for a good roll cast? Wiggles.
And the snake roll is just how you'd start a snap cast (taut line, rod kept low), but you go into a roll cast right before the snap, causing the anchor land by you? (for right bank facing downstream -- downstream wind, cast right-handed all stuff happening on right side?). Then a regular roll cast.
Most of this stuff seems like they just named things you'd learn naturally by hitting yourself in the face and/or making unloaded, poor roll casts. I gotta get a long rod so I look cool --
