New to fishing the dc area

Hey all,

I'm sort of new to fishing the DC area and am thinking about going out this coming weekend to the Dyke Marsh off of GW parkway. Do I need a boat or can you wade this area? Also...better to fish an outgoing tide or does that not matter?

Hey Jeff,

I am pretty certain wading is prohibited there, but I'm sure somebody here knows for sure. Belle haven marina rents kayaks if you need one though.
