I haven't seen any posts about the Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Fest in Waynesboro this year yet. The fest is loads of fun and friend/member of TPFR Beau Beasley organizes the event. There are tons of speakers, including Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser, the Trow brothers from Mossy Creek Fly Fishing, and musky guys Matt Miles and Blaine Chocklett. In addition to the speakers there are tons of vendors, from fly shops to artists to guides. This year there are several wineries a couple breweries offering tastings and sales.

The forecast is perfect right now, so hopefully no Rainsboro this year. It's a couple hours from DC, but this gives you a great opportunity to stay overnight to go to the fest one day and fish the area the next.

TPFR won't be there in an official capacity, but Dan Davala will be doing a spey demonstration as well as a paid spey casting class.

You can find more info on the event here: http://www.vaflyfishingfestival.com/

I bought two tickets for Dans class. I havent picked up a rod in two years so I am looking for the refresher and my dad wants to learn. Unfortunately, I have a ridiculous cold right now so I am not too sure I am going to make it.

If the class is at 8am, I need to be out of NoVa around 545?
