Just got back from Rod and Reel in Arlington.   2 rod tips, reassembled spinning reel that was in 1000 parts, and few screws for an old Penn level wind = $32.

Added a 5.5 fiberglass fly rod of unknown origin for $8 and a spin set up for my 10 year and I was out a total of $52.

Topped it off with a sub from the Italian Store (and brought home dinner for my wife and kids) that was awesome.

Remember if you have an issue with a rod or reel not sure how long Mr. Evans is gonna be around but he is the best.

I have taken quite a few spinning rods there a couple years ago. He does top notch work for a great price.

Good to know, I have a damaged ferrule I've been meaning to take to him. Is the shop a walk-in, limited hours, appointment...?

Odd hours something like W, Th, Fri 11-5.  Call ahead he lives upstairs and may take a random drop off.

Take a sponge soaked in warm water - nothing else, and scrub/rub down the cork on that new-to-you rod - it'll look brand new.
