Was driving past this afternoon and it's the lowest I've ever seen it.  And it wasn't even low tide?  Mud bars everywhere.  Clearly I've missed something….

And Google ain't helping.

If there's a strong NW wind, it commonly empties at low tide.  At the outfall there is nearly always *some water with a few fish, even with the entire thing empty.  One day it was quite murky, but still productive as tide dropped.

I've probably fished it 9-10 times in the last several weeks and have found the usual gang of 100 small bass (LMB and SMB) and sunfish and have had several "stand there and pull out as many as you want" days (ask Carl), and a couple of slower days -- I haven't seen the variety of species that are usually there though.  A couple of times the bass where chasing minnows up to the surface and "popping" which was sort of entertaining.

Your mileage may vary -- I think Todd got into some carp and/or goldfish not too long ago.

Overall, the winter is killing me.  My soul is buried under the foundation of the Hoover camp until March.....maybe late Feb.

Um...  What in the FREAK is up with that place?  I have stopped by two afternoons in the past week and not seen a single fish from the bridge to the discharge.  The discharge pool--empty.  No herons.  And, get this, no fishermen.  Something is rotten in Denmark....

Interesting.... I was going to ask if there's any place this weekend worth visiting other than 4MR.  I was out two weeks ago on the banks and saw no sign of anything, even in the pool.

Could be a lot of cold runoff from snow. However it's been lacking fish most of the winter. Last year too.

I think it's just gotten pounded all winter. I've been fishing it pretty hard and it's been crowded every day I've been down there.

Haven't caught much there since January but was assuming it was the (much) colder temps and snow, and that it should pick up soon.

Hit it yesterday around 2pm.  Saw some minnows on the bank but NADA near the outflow nor anything east along the bank underneath the trees.  Did not have time to get to the power poles.

Hmm last year and this year too? Wonder if it could have anything to do with the sewage overflow and the egregious use of chemicals to sanitize the stream farther up the watershed??
