4th Annual Fletcher's Boathouse Veterans Family Shad Gala - 19 April 2019

FishingCommunity.org is hosting the 4th Annual Veterans Family Shad Gala as part of the Fisheries for Veterans Project on April 19th from 10:00am-2:00pm at Fletcher’s Boathouse in Washington DC. This is a completely free event and is designed to create a stress free and family friendly environment which promotes healing to help our Wounded Heroes regain their confidence by connecting with nature. Everyone involved is encouraged to be themselves, laugh, listen and relax while having fun!

We are in need of all types of volunteers but are specifically lacking volunteers who are willing/able to row our Hero’s and their families out on the water to catch fish. We are in need of rowers for this event. Come early, grab one of our boats and fish. Then come back around 9:30 or so and take our veterans out to catch some Shad. Lunch is around 1 pm.
