So I’m going up to spend a few days in the Northeast corner of PA, not far from Hancock, and I want to get out on the Upper Delaware. Anybody have any local knowledge they’d care to share up there? Any guides they can recommend?

And tips would be greatly appreciated.

Best antiviral wishes,
Matt

Assuming you are talking about the mainstem, I would definitely think about getting a guide and floating.  There isn't a ton of great wade access despite the river being public once you get on it.  Its been awhile since i've gotten a guide there but last time I did i fished with Lee Hartman and he was good.  You could also check the Delaware River Club.  I've never fished with the guides but I've been in the fly shop a bunch and they have always been helpful.  There can be decent iso fishing in September as well as streamer fishing especially if the water comes up a bit.

I'm honestly not a big fan of the west branch but plenty of people consider it the best water on the system.  I prefer the upper east.  Lower east can also be good but you really need to know the spots.  If you just have a day or two it can be a tough go.

east branch any parking area and walk in in the evening to rising fish.  beaverkill is also very wadeable.  as for guides, anyone at West Branch Angler has a good rep.

Last August I fished with Mark Malenovsky out of West Branch for two days and he was able to put me on the brown trout: http://www.westbranchresort.com/ourguides

I would also add that unless you are fishing streamers or nymphing, the entire system is not really a place to blind cast aimlessly (unless you go up to the beaverkill or willowemoc).  You are better off taking your time and looking for rising fish and making good presentations to them.
