Good evening fly rodders! My name is Keron Crooks and I am a fishing newbie. I have fished only two times in my life, once as a little boy (i'm 29 now) and again maybe about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone in my circle of influence that I could follow to develop my skills and knowledge of the sport I am very intrigued with. I've finally made the decision to seriously take it upon myself to teach myself how to fish. I've signed up for the fly fishing 101 and 201 courses at Orvis and I stumbled upon this amazing group of anglers throughout my research. I figured rather than reinvent the wheel I would reach out, introduce myself, and follow the individuals that have already blazed the trail. So I humbly ask, if any of you would like to take a young, coachable, excited new guy to the sport under your wing I would be forever grateful! Thank you all.

Hey Ken welcome aboard! We have an amazing fishery and plenty of guys and gals that are willing to help you access the fishing in and around the area. You should stop by our monthly beer tie on Monday and get to know some of the members.

We kick off around 6:30pm the second Monday of every month at Witlows bar on Wilson Blvd in Arlington VA.

Hey Keron

I think you were in the 101 class today at Arlington. You did a great job of picking up the casting!! Also you left your water bottle at the store and I'm bringing it to the 201 tomorrow. I look forward to fishing with you man!
