Awesome! Congrats!-SeanP.S. I’m a newb but hoping to come to the beer tie tonight.
Trent Jones (TPFR OG) and I headed out for our annual early morning striper hunt at Fletcher's. Targeted specie along with the obligatory snagged gizzard shad acquired.--(Despite urban legend, gizzards do not eat flies.)Gear:
- 9 and 10 wt rods
- 4-5ft 20lb leader
- 350 and 400 grain full sinking lines (worth the investment)
- Large 5-6" Half and Halfs (2/0 and 4/0 hooks), tied with extra long hackle and extra large dumbells (extra heavy)
- Celebratory Cuban cigars
