Please Respond - Survey for Buy/Sell/Trade Forum or Event

I and other members of the board often get asked about allowing buy/sell/trade ("BST") posts, setting up a separate forum for BST, or having an person swap meet for this. We're ready to go beyond anecdotal evidence and see if we can get a representative sample of what is desired. Whether you are for or against the idea, please head over to this Survey Monkey page and respond to a quick survey regarding adding a buy/sell/trade component for TPFR members.

We will be collecting responses for two weeks, with the survey closing on October 10 (Columbus Day & day of Beer Tie). Please note, that implementing any of the suggestions here depends on the interest, our discretion, and ability to pull off the logistics.

Yes - thanks, Dalton, for doing this. The long-standing objections to TPFR commerce seem to no longer have much traction.

While I share Gene's doubts about doing this with the main forum, I think there are ways to do it that respect those concerns and make everybody happy enough. I would prefer a swap-meet type event, myself.

But that's just me - everyone should fill out the survey. It takes three seconds - unless you're really indecisive, it took more time reading this post.
