Camping over the last weekend of June at Indian Island county park on Long Island NY. It is located at Flanders Bay that runs into the Great Peconic Bay and the Peconic River. I grew up in the area but I never fished then. I should have access to a canoe so that should help. Anyone have any experience with fishing this area at this time of year. Any suggestions?

Stripers Online should be able to assist. Nice forum for fly fisherman--nod to Dan--not as nice as this one.

Fish at night, the stripers and weakfish move closer to shore. If you're fishing outside the park make sure to talk to the local police about parking.
