Fishing after work in upper NW?

I would love suggestions of good spots to fish after work in Upper NW DC (other than the canal). Spouse is out of town tonight and the kids have after-school activities, giving me a rare weekday opportunity.

Some big bass in Rock Creek right now. Landed a really nice smallmouth last night on top water. And saw several others cruising around. This was by the P street bridge.
