If anyone has some good connections in terms of guides or marinas or great spots, I"m going here for the week of Thanksgiving.  I'll take my kayak, so shore or inshore will work.

It looks like there is a lot of protected water in the event of wind in the various bays, but that the gulf is very accessible if the weather is good.

They're farther west on the coast from PSJ/Mexico Beach, but Shallow Water Expeditions out of Watercolor, FL (in between Panama City Beach and Destin) are strong guides. They have put me on fish every time - including flats fishing for redfish, and hitting wrecks for amberjack.  Highly recommend them.

one to avoid: Captain James Pic (JP). lot of talk. not a lot of success. he's cheaper than the others, and knows how to search optimize, so you might run across the website. not worth the $$ you save.

Thanks, Andrew.  I'll check them out, and avoid the guy who is better at web search than fishing search.
