For those of you who don't know, Casting Church is free and designed to help members hone their casting skills , or introduce people to the sport altogether. Some of the most experienced instructors volunteer their time each month! Whether your a very experienced caster looking to increase your distance , or its you first time out, we've got room for you. We meet at Fletcher's Boat House in D.C at the back of the lower parking lot.
Any instructors out there who would be willing to help are most welcome!
Beginners are always welcome. Don't worry If you don't have a rod I always have a few extra.

Also great to see a couple of newcomers to the Church (Phil and Keven). You Gents are welcome back anytime.
Lets start thinking about roll casting for next month. Look at some videos of dynamic roll casts, sustained anchor and waterborne spey casts , and touch and go spey presentations.
Were going to examine why to use some of the casts and how they translate perfectly in many single hand applications.
It will be August , so I would like to get everyone in the water and out of the heat.
Cheers,
Art

Our official monthly casting church is on the second Sunday of each month which is the 11th in August.
Obviously we encourage other instructors to host churches outside of that second Sunday. Regan B. often does this with very successful turnouts!
The second Sunday thing is just one that myself and/or one of the other officers can always commit to and tell people about in passing.
I have family in town this Sunday , so unfortunately I cant make it tomorrow, but I hope you decide to get out and cast.
Cheers,
Art
