With 2 young adult children it's hard to get everyone on the same page with schedules, yesterday worked out great. My daughter had a soccer game near Harrisburg Pa at 5:00 pm so my son and I left the house at 7:00 Am for Clark Creek just north of Harrisburg. I had never Fished it ,but read good reports about it and had been looking to get up there. The trip up rt.15 is always a beautiful drive. We stoped in Dillsburg and had a great breakfast at Bakers Dinner. (highly recommend it ). Got on the water about10:00. There is a 2 mile fly fishing only, catch and release section. We didn't, have to walk the path very long when we came across a pool loaded with trout. Didn't see anything hatching, but heard this loud buzzing noise. It was the cicadas that I had been disappointed by down here. They were everywhere on the ground. Tied one on and went to town. They must look like a big jucie steak to them. Fishing was great, beautiful browns 8"- 14" coming to the surface time and again looking for a big fillet lunch. After a day of leapfrogging each other on the stream we left about 4:00 and watched my daughter play her soccer game. Being able to trout fish and spend time together with with family was the perfect Father's Day. Hope all the other Father's enjoyed your day also.

That sounds excellent Terry -- I'm not a father,  but I spent the day fishing the Delaware Bay with Beth.  Had a great time but didn't catch anything other than 3-4 horseshoe crabs by accident.
It sounds like you had better luck with the fish ;0.

Good for you, Terry. Glad you had the family together. Bakers in Dillsburg is a good one.  I spent about 5 early a.m. hours on the C&O at Widewater capturing sunfish with one of two recently acquired cane rods. Stealth bombers were most successful, had no small gurglers on hand, having forgetten and left those in my tying bag from the Beer Tie Monday night. ;-)
