Hey guys,

Kyle and I headed up to the Little Juniata this weekend, and ended up hitting the Sulphur hatch perfectly. We had a phenomenal day of fishing on Saturday, but got rained out on Friday (I should say, not exactly rained out, because Kyle did weather the rain, whereas I headed to a cabin. I just mean to say the water flow bumped up dramatically).

I wrote up the day of fishing on my blog. Keep an eye out for a link to expanded content, as well. Hope yall enjoy!

Tight lines,

Misha

Great fish Misha -- those are right on the super-fun size ;).

Nice fish.

There is a certain Colombian contingent that stays relatively humble and quiet here on TPFR that spent the weekend up there (before the brown water came a-rollin’ in) who also had a good time.

For the record one of my favorite things is the iridescent blue cheek mark that bigger wild browns get.

Thanks guys!

Gene, yeah, super fun size for sure. Strong fighters with full bellies. They weren't big leapers though. Sometimes right after the hookset but that was it. Even the rainbow, no jump. Maybe they were too full?

Rich, that is indeed a gorgeous fish. I too am a huge fan of the blue sheen on their cheeks. I hope anyone who was up there will share more pics! It was an epic day, everyone was catching fish.

Btw, minor correction, meant to say we got rained out Sunday, not Friday...

Thanks Greg!

Bonus Sulphur Mayfly pictures, for those who are interested in that sort of thing. You can even see some adult midges in one of the pics. I tried taking a picture of the Grannoms that were coming off, but they didn't turn out. I need a better camera...
