Roaches Run + shad run?

Anyone fished the Run during the Run? Does anything get better / different about it? I’m assuming it’s too far off the main stem to see much action, but then again, they do wander up other tributaries...

I fished it last year during shad season and there were lots of gar rolling around but did not spot any shad
