I have had a few people ask about this the last couple days, so I am giving it a bump.

The tournament kicks off in a couple days and we’re up to 11 adult entrants and a few juniors. Looking forward to some more fierce competition in the smallest brush division again this year.

I’ll be sending out the rulers soon, so sign up quickly to be able to use your office laminator.

Sucks, but it’s looking like I will not be able to participate in this year’s event. Should something change, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Ladies and Gentleman!!!!!!!

We kick off the 3rd annual Bluegill Tournament tomorrow.... the hardware is in...medals will be awarded to those with the greatest panfish angling skill...BUT!!!!!!

To sweeten the pot Richie Farino and District Angling have put together swag bags for the winner of each division (hats, flies, bottle openers, etc).  The value of the bags are $40-$50 give or take. Register, compete, have fun!

We will see everyone Monday Night at Whitlows!

Point of information:

Do you prefer the emailed photos be sent serially in the course of one's time on the water? Or is it better to do a massive zip  file or cloud account dump on the judges on Sunday afternoon?

This is my first tourney. Not certain of your preferences.

Hi Mark and others,

It's all up to you--if you wait until the end, you should only have to mail us three pics at the most: biggest, smallest and prettiest. It shouldn't be much of a problem to shoot those over in one e-mail.

VA north of 66 looks like it missed the heavy rain. Reston, Sterling, Leesburg areas - lot of good bluegill ponds and lakes in that area! I'd head that direction in the morning to find fishable water

Awesome tournament yet again!  The gauntlet has been thrown down for next year... :-D

Here's another, lightly Instagram-enhanced look at the prettiest.  Believe it is a green x bluegill hybrid.  I used to catch these frequently, but this year, only 2 out of the 200 were hybrids. Sunfish are so interesting!

Thank you again for putting on a great tourney.  Always fun to put that 12 weight to work.

AND

Thanks to Richie and District Angling for the awesome prize bags!
