Escawtawba Farms - Covington VA

I received a gift certificate for a significant birthday (same one that got me vaccinated :-)), and used it yesterday in conjunction with the big warmup - first time fishing this year.

Farm is in Covington Virginia, with 3 miles of private river (Dunlop Creek)  water.  Derrick, the owner/proprietor could not have been nicer or more informative.  

Still chilly for dry flies, but small nymphs were killer.  I caught 25+ rainbows (browns and brook trout also there, but didn't touch any) from 16" to 24" with some amazingly strong and jumping fish.  My 5wt was worn our end of day, as was I.  

Worth checking out!  Long drive, but well worth it.
