Ah snag hooks. Seen them in stores, though not around here. Saw my first one on the water at Chain Bridge a few years ago. Fortunately the user was not doing that well.

Found a snag hook last Friday. For snakehead not shad.

Believe that is what is known as a michigan cricket. Very popular for snagging salmon on the great lakes tribs.
