Proposal: Improving Google Search Result On Buddhist Entities

Hello everybody!

I am Paritosh Singh a 2nd year undergraduate student at NIT Kurukshetra, India. I have deep interest in the fields of programming, development, data analytics and Machine Learning. I am skilled in and can proficiently use Python, C++, JavaScript. I am also developing myself in the field of NLP. I have volunteer experience with open source contribution with the Wikimedia Foundation and I wish to work with WikiLoop in the similar way.

I have gone through the proposed ideas for GSoC'21 and I believe I can contribute by taking up the 1st project mentioned Improving Google Search Result On Buddhist Entities. I have submitted my draft of the proposal on Google's program site as well and you can find the google doc link here. I would love to receive reviews on my proposal from the mentors and the interested members of the community.  

My family belongs to Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, a city well known around the world as Lord Buddha served his last sermon and attained salvation here. As an enthusiast of history and religion I have knowledge of Buddhism through documentaries and literature. I am also an enthusiast of learning languages, I have native bilingual proficiency in English and Hindi. I will try my best to work with Tibetan language. I am confident that I will perform at my best to complete the project with the expected success and work in order to serve a huge community and gain knowledge in the process too.

Hi,

I tried joining the slack channel as mentioned. I was unable to join the channel as it says an email address ending in @virginia.edu is required. When I tried joining with my personal email id and also the email provided by my institution it kept denying. It would be great if you could help me through this.
