Hello again,

We have a Garden Club Google Group of 48 members.  This group was created in 2016 and folks have been steadily added since then.  Unfortunately, when the list was created most people were added with just their email names and not their real names so we aren't sure who is really on our list.

Please  respond and let me know if you would like to be kept on the list and who you are.  If you could also add your physical address and phone number for our directory, that would be great!

It's  probably time to "retire" from THGC.
For many years I  was secretary...in charge of updating the directory. And the plant sale! Many trips to Blummel Nursery.
One year our supplier canceled delivery the day before. Betty Newcomb (rip) and I rented a uhaul, lashed some bookcases to the sides and went to Culpepper VA to rescue the day.
Not everyone knows that Betty conceived the idea for the Trolley Garden.
At one point, there were 3 or 4 of us. That's  when we decided to go to evening meetings.
Many happy Christmas arrangements at Kernan Hosp. Ask Penny about the healing garden there. I remember Gov Schaefer a bit dismayed at the opening ceremony that the initial plantings were so small.

I was added to this list because my garden was once visited by the club.  I'd love to stay on the list and start to attend meetings.  I'm in Westgate.  My address is 238 Mallow Hill Road, Balt MD 21229.  My cell is 631-484-6673.  I'm still happy to have the club visit.

That’s because Gov. Schaefer didn’t pay for or install the Butterfly garden, I did with the “Help” of 5 middle school kids in July. Easy to be “Disappointed” when you did nothing to help.

I'm sure he didn't mean to be offensive. It has been a joy to see everything fill in.
And I think Kernan staff keeps it tended.
I think that was our only attempt at "grant writing".

I’d like to remain on the list please. Unfortunately, I can rarely make the meetings due to schedule conflicts. But I’m always interested. If there is a Ten Hills Garden Walk, I’d be happy to open my garden for it if that is some thing that would interest anyone, and I would like to walk too if the schedule works.
