Hi folks -

I've created a game on Roll20, I'm still figuring out how things work though! The invite link is https://app.roll20.net/join/6024831/-Ij0oQ - you can use that to join the game as a player. There's very little there right now, but we can try and work out how to integrate character sheets with it over the next few days. Please sign up there - you don't need to give them much beyond an email address - and join the game, especially if you're thinking of playing this weekend. So far I think I've had interest from Kate, Sarah G, Sarah E, Kelly and Liz but I don't know how definite people are.

I'm still looking to run a game this weekend, on the 29th, but owing to how completely topsy-turvy the world has gotten since we last played, it will be strictly online only. Nobody should come round to our house who doesn't already live here.

Any questions, ask here. I've heard some folks talking about using Discord for voice comms, I don't know how good the voice comms are on Roll20 - it may well be they'll be fine but if we can test something out over the next few days then we'll be prepped for Sunday.

Thanks everyone.

p.s. Roll20 has game forums, but let's keep the majority of the chatter here. We can use the Roll20 forums for discussing Roll20-specific stuff, tech tips, etc.

I've signed up.  And I'm interested in playing on Sunday.  (Sorry for not confirming sooner - was waiting to see if my original Sunday plan of sitting in the park reading a book would still be allowed!)

Right!

I have been playing with the character gubbins on Roll20 a lot this week, as I am currently a Lady of Leisure.

The Charactmancer is very good, but you would have to buy the books you have things from to do it fully (I bought the Players Guide so I could play).

So I have now worked out how most things work, and how to do rolls properly etc, so I suggest I will do a quick summary over voice comms on Sunday to passs on what I have learnt about dicerolling etc.

Thanks Kate, shall we cover that off at the start of the game, at 12?

Hi folks - we've been trying out Roll20 today and while it seems to be working fine for maps, chat and character sheets, the voice and video comms are a bit lacking. Whether it's an issue with the platform or simple user error, we couldn't all see or hear each other.

As a work-around, I have created a Valley Discord server so that we can use the voice comms on there. Even if you're not planning on joining the game in the near future, please join the server with the invite link https://discord.gg/vnqJckW

You can try running Discord in the browser but a better option is to install the app, which you can get from https://discordapp.com/download - it works on desktop and mobile.
