Hi Peter,

I hope you are well.

I'm just wondering if there is any way to do a 'Sankey diagram' with ADAMS.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Valerio

Since JFree already had some functionality available, I added some
support for flow charts to ADAMS, which are similar to Sankey
diagrams.
You will need to download a new snapshot of ADAMS to get this
functionality (part of the adams-spreadsheet module).

The attached flow turns the flowdataset.csv spreadsheet into the attached plot.
As a minimum, the spreadsheet requires a source, target and flow/weight column.
Optionally, if there are multiple flows, a column containing an
integer "stage" ID can be supplied as well (column "dataset" in the
attached spreadsheet).

Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I tried the flow and it worked very well. I do appreciate your effortt in desgining it. However, do you have any advice or recommend approaches to enahnce the presentation quality of the results? Also, do you suggest any other visualization tools to appropreiately present the same data?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Valerio

You can only change the colors of background, node labels and the connections.

For other tools, I recommend searching the Internet. From what I recall, most of them are browser based. d3 seems to be a popular JavaScript library for generating these plots.

Cheers, Peter
